Usenetxp Acceptable Use PolicyThis document describes what we consider to be abuse of our services, and details the procedures we follow in investigating reports of abuse. We do not seek to act as moderators, but we do feel an obligation, however, to encourage appropriate use of our service and proper use of the newsgroups, to the mutual benefit of everyone that uses them.
ProceduresIn the advent of receiving a complaint about your usage of the service, your account will be automatically suspended for 48 hours whilst we investigate the complaint. After that 48 hours, if we havel ascertained that your account was used for the complaint, we require you to notify us of any circumstances in the complaint. If we find that your account has been breaching our acceptable usage policy we will automatically terminate your account within 7 days. If we find that the complaint lacks merit your account will be reinstated, you will not be credited for any lost access. Charges and Fees If we are required to remove posts from the usenet servers, a charge of AUD$50 per message will be applied to your account.
Account sharingUnder no circumstances are account holders allowed to share accounts with anyone.
Disclosing Account DetailsUnder no circumstances are account holders allowed to disclose username and password details with anyone. We will not contact you to confirm your account details. Please delete any emails you receive making requests for usernames and passwords.
Net Etiquette and AbuseUsers should observe the accepted behaviour standards of each news group. These standards can vary from one group to the next. Many groups have written charters and FAQs that reflect a consensus of those who regularly use the newsgroup. Please consider the views and feelings of everyone and give them the same consideration and respect as you would like to receive yourself.
Unacceptable PostingIllegal Activities. Posts that contain content that is illegal in either the country of origin or the countries our servers are located in (the USA and the Netherlands). This includes City, State, Federal or International laws. SPAM. Any sort of commercial advertising, whether you receive commercial benefit or not.
